No, I’m not holding one of Austin’s fish. After watching Austin for so long I decided to try to spear my own fish. And I did!!! I totally get why he loves this so much! I’ve gotten my first few fish and he’s gotten a few new species. We are eating well in the Bahamas!

We’ve been back in the Bahamas for a month now and somehow it is even better than we remembered! The saying #timeflies has never been more true. We have seen old friends and made so many new ones! Not to mention all of the fresh fish we’ve been eating. We are absolutely loving being back!

Pretty cool video of a ray peacefully eating a fish carcass we threw out until a shark showed up and took what was left!!! Loving all that we get to see here in the Bahamas!

Epic lunch break! Austin speared a hogfish and I found two sea biscuits!

We went out to the nearby reef and it was rougher than we really liked. Since we were already out there Austin jumped in just for a bit and came up with this MONSTER hogfish shortly after!!! He has been wanting to shoot one of these for a while. I was excited to find two sea biscuits to add to my beach treasure collection too! 🐚 🐠

Austin’s biggest grouper yet! We loved Calabash

Austin’s biggest grouper yet! We loved Calabash anchorage so much that we went twice! There is a beautiful beach with a resort on land and the staff are all so nice. They serve free conch fritters daily at happy hour and the beach is beautiful. Not to mention the fishing was exceptional! The only thing missing on our return trip is all of the amazing people we met on our first!

The furthest south we made it on this trip was Tho

The furthest south we made it on this trip was Thompson Bay on Long Island. We rented a car with another couple and explored by land for a change! We visited the shrimp hole, saw some ruins, had conch salad, saw the world’s deepest blue hole and had the best meal we have had at a restaurant in the Bahamas at Chez Pierre! This is also where the previous owners of our boat spent most their time. It was super fun checking out a place we have heard so much about!
